Ok, So this part of the website is about maple tips. Technology wise. Im not talking about hacking, but great ways to improve a simpler way to play maplestory.
~Word to the WIse* read the whole text BEFORE doing it! After read, follow the guide and do it at the same time.
1.Playing and transferring without download!
USES: I got a new labtop and i dont want to download maplestory again!!! :( ~ i have maplestory on my other desktop. Hmm i will copy my other maplestory, and play it on my labtop!
Another use could be that you want a friend or relative or someone that wants to play maplestory but doesnt want to download that huge 2.69GB file. You can easily copy your maplestory and give it to him/her. (You will still have a copy for yourself)
You will need: Some spare time to read and do this, a"Nexon folder", a cd or usb, or an sd, (something that you can put your files on to.) >3 things<
1. Find the "Nexon" Folder on your computer.
2. Load the device (put it inside you computer) , your usb, cd, sd thing.
3. Copy and Paste the "nexon" folder onto the device (make sure you store in an area that you can easily reach on the other computer.)
4. Once copied, safely remove your device and put it in the other computer. (ANY OTHER COMPUTER WILL WORK!!) Except Macs. and some vistas.
5. Locate your device on the other computer. Find the "nexon" folder and copy and paste it to the desktop or wherever you want to! ~(Local Disk :C recommended)
Recommedations: If you get lost, try redoing the steps and backtrack to see what went wrong ~ 1 good thing to do is keep the "nexon" folder saved on your device. Every now and then, try patching it so it will be updated. When something ever happens to your maplestory game, instead of downloading it again, re-copy and paste the patched/unpatched "Nexon" folder (in ur device) and CLAIM IT BACK!
Thats literally it. GO on to the maplestory website, log in and play!

Q1: When I copy and paste it, wont it take as long as downloading it?
A1: No, at the max it will be 15 minutes. Depending on your computer. Mine took 3.5 minutes.
Q2: I cant locate my nexon folder :( any tips?
A2: Try searching , "nexon" or "maplestory" on your labtop/desktop
Q3: Once there is an update i wont be able to patch it automatically, right?
A3: Wrong, when you start the game, either on the desktop or website, once it is connected to the internet, it will automatically patch. Because you cannot play maplestory unless its version is the lastest version.
Q4: Well this is just great, I deleted my nexon folder from my computer! How to recover it?
A4: Easy, if you have it saved on another computer, use the ^ steps to copy it back. ~ Another way could be to locate the nexon folder on your device (usb, sd, cd) and copy it if you havent deleted it already.
2.HOW TO PLAY MAPLESTORY WITHOUT GOING ON THE WEBSITE!
This one is a bit tricky so I will put pictures to help you.
You will need: Maplestory and some spare time to read and do this.
Step 1: Locate the "Maplestory" game. It can be anywhere; usually on your desktop.( I recommend you put it on the desktop for now, then return it back) ME :When you double-click this, you are redirected to the maplestory website. Correct? YOU: Yup! ME: Well not ANYMORE! YOU:
Step 2: Right Click > CREATE SHORTCUT, once that it done, another maplestory should pop- up somewhere on the desktop. Find it and click > Properties
Step 3: Look at this carefully... See where it says Target: C\Nexon \Maplestory \Maplestory.exe (go to step 4 now)
DO NOT ERASE ANY OF THE MATERIAL ALREADY INSIDE! all we are going to do is ADD things. SO click the "target C\Nexon \Maplestory \Maplestory.exe" and do this exactly... Press space> type Game Launching> enter Then press ok and start maplestory! It should look like this ....
After you have typed, "space" GameLaunching , you can press enter, or apply , or OK. After that, you can play maplestory by clicking the newly made icon. And put everything you took out back to where you want it to be.

Q1: What the heww man, when i press "ok" some warning sign comes and says it invalid
A1: Well maybe you didnt do what i said. Or these~ you didnt put a space after exe. ~you didnt type it right or you didnt capitalize GameLaunching. If that still doesnt work then delete that shortcut, and create a new one. RE- follow the steps and try it again
Q2: Is this a kind of hack?
A2: Not at ALL! This was discovered about 4 years ago and it still proven to work! It is just an alternative game playing system.
Q3: What are the benefits for doing this?
A3: Tons of things, sometimes the website could be down, you dont want to log in the website because you will lag other people using your internet, and the ability to switch accounts without exiting the game!
Q4: So whats the difference between game launching and logging in from the website?
A4: First of all, its GameLaunching, and the difference is that the website takes longer ( logging in, redirection, and just somewhat a longer load time). The game client however, is intensely easy. All you need to do is click on its shortcut, and BaM! You can log in FROM the GAME! The website though doesn't log out your account when clicking "quit game" , it allows you to quickly switch from one character to another.
